Plotting against the King in our drama this week in P5….

Ross said it was fun and we learned lots of history facts at the same time.

Robbie enjoyed creeping around and moving suspiciously like Guy Fawkes would have done.

Lauchlin was great at role playing his part as a member of the Houses of Parliament and gave  an interesting speech in support of King James.

The conspirator team came up with a good way of escaping for a while……..

The Risk Factory……..

P7 visited The Risk Factory in Edinburgh today. It was really good fun and we learned loads about how to stay safe in lots of different situations.

Here are some quotes:

“Words can’t describe how fun it was”

Macauley

“The best trip I’ve ever been on”

Jo

“It’s definitely worth waiting for”

Coni

“It was excellent”

Michael

We can’t wait for the P6’s to experience all the fun next year!

Fireworks Safety Talk

A really interesting discussion with PC Chris and PC Carol Ann today.

fireworks2A massive thank you to them for coming in and having a safety chat with us.

Key messages were:

Stay safe with fireworks.

Under 18 year olds are not permitted to have fireworks.

Keep your distance (at least 25 m) from fireworks and bonfires.

Do not return to or go near fireworks which have been lit.

Fireworks are loud and can frighten people.  Make sure pets and young children are kept inside during home displays and be mindful of neighbours.

Make sure your blue bins are out of harm’s way.

P2/3 Have had a fun filled start to our Health week. On  Monday we started by doing some Yoga and Dance. Then in the the afternoon we went outside into the MUGA with Mrs McAlpine then Mr O’Toole showed us how to play Golf. On Tuesday we met Jake who took us for Judo which was great fun. Then Sandra did some Zumba which was really exciting! Then at the end of the day we went outside for a daily mile and collected some Autumn leaves to make pictures with them on Thursday.

Looking forward to the rest of the week!
