P6/7 Update
Money week has arrived in P6/7! Miss Glencorse’s Maths group have been set the challenge of buying in bulk and selling to try and make a profit. Which idea will be the most successful? We will be sure to let you know! We are also using the resources provided by RBS about opening bank accounts and looking after our money. As a whole class, we are making posters to advertise The Credit Union.
In Social Studies, we have created original songs in our bands and used the Video Star app to make real music videos. We are trying to find a way of getting these videos onto the blog to show you how professional we look. We are really looking forward to the input from Rookie Rockstars so we can release our inner Rock Gods!!
As this is October, we are working very hard learning about and praying The Rosary. Futsal starts this week. It is a form of football created in Brazil and will help develop our PE skills and teamwork skills
2 girls in our class will represent us at the P7 Conference on Friday and we look forward to all the information they bring back to us.

AAL stall for Parents Evening
A big well done to all the pupils who helped with this stall last night. We were very proud of you being such effective contributors and highlighting our school blog to parents using a QR code might help more parents find our blog and be encouraged now to post comments on their own child’s learning!
P4/5 enjoyed a visit from NYCOS this week ….
Alex is going to be joining us every Tuesday to play musical rhythm and pitch games with the pupils until after Christmas. Hopefully these weekly activities will encourage some pupils to join the national youth choir itself . Details to follow and Alex has promised to bring in his tuba next week !
Learning in the sun this week …..
P4/5 welcomed Miss Butler to our class family this week and she told us the story of Greyfriars Bobby.
We chose to draw details of the main parts of the story in sequence using chalk to plan our ideas.
Biggest Coffee Morning Ever !
P4/5 loved visiting this fabulous event run so professionally by p6/7 this morning ! We completed some coffee cup coasters and a group challenge to design some bunting to cheer up the tables for parents and friends to sit at .

This week in P3/4
This week in our topic we used art materials to create a jungle collage; we used lots of different materials to create texture and interest. Using ‘The Jungle Book’ and ‘Tarzan’ stories for inspiration we wrote imaginative stories about being brought up in a jungle, using describing words to make our stories interesting and exciting. In music the children are continuing to learn some of the music from the Jungle Book, including ‘I want to be like you’.

Macmillan Coffee Morning
P6/7 are delighted to announce that we raised £730 at this morning’s coffee morning for Macmillan. We would like to thank everybody who came along and helped to make a fantastic morning and everyone who made anything for the cake sale. It’s such a fantastic cause and we are proud we managed to raise so much. We feel like responsible citizens today!
