In our Maths lessons we considered how many degrees we would need to make a cone to hold our popcorn to sell to raise money for SCIAF this Lent 2016….
Popcorn will be on sale at break times 20p a cone next week more details to follow……
We have installed an app called Brusheez to help make our toothbrushing sessions more fun!
So proud of all the effective contributors in P4/5 this week as they designed Roald Dahl stories in a box for World Book Day 2016. All the entries were super! Mrs C was glad she was not judging and P3/4 were excellent judges as they provided post it feedback for all the designers.Thanks again to everyone that took part……..
The sun shone as Connnolly House joined us for Launch Day of Walk a Mile! P5/6 had kindly made us celebration MIlly Mile flags to send us on our way ! Some pupils have already improved their fitness and are completing up to 2 miles in 15 minutes -a super improvement!

This year we are hoping to create our own recycled lanterns to raise awareness and shut down our devices that use energy on the 19th March.
P4/5 are hoping to organise and run a Book Swap Stall so we can recycle stories, save energy and enjoy reading something new all for FREE! Please bring in any books you have finished with and are happy to swap……….

This week we started to present the information we gathered about the Pharaohs. We didn’t get through everyone, but we will and then display the information in our class museum. We also learned about the Ancient Egyptian writing of hieroglyphics. Then we used these to write out our own names in a cartouche, the same as the Pharaohs. As our assembly is now only weeks away, we have started to listen to the songs we will be singing and soon we will be learning our lines and parts for the play!
