There was an excellent response from all our classes for this Competition and this made the judging very difficult!

AAL organised an Easter Hunt
Renee said its nearly Easter so we decided to get bunnies and go hunting using our QR scanners on our own devices.
Abbie this hunt was a really good laugh.
Jenna said we are full of the Easter spirit and wanted to have some fun with our peers.
Wear Trainers to school Day
Euan said this was a good way to raise money for our Lent Charity.
Calum said this was a good activity to get everyone thinking about the Commonwealth Games this July in Glasgow.
Weight Challenge in our maths set this week
Natalia said this was fun . Novaleigh said there are 1000grams in 1 kilogram.
P3/4 Potato Planting
P3/4 managed to get out in the small garden last week to plant 2 varieties of potato. With a little love and attention we’re hoping to harvest a bumper crop just before the summer holidays! Watch this space for updates!
Community Action Blackburn Conference 2014
This years Conference was held at Blackburn Primary School and was a great success. Our performance was super and we enjoyed watching the input from all schools in our local community.
Wear your Trainers to school!
In an effort to raise money for our Lent Charities 2014 we are going to allow classes to wear their trainers to school on Friday 28th March if they bring in a £1 for charity. We will be organising sporting events for our classes that morning including a chance to design your own Commonwealth Games 2014 trainer! Get thinking about what yours could look like!
All classes also have a SCIAF ‘Wee Box” on their altar area to try to collect some spare change to help families in Colombia who have lost their land and are trying to create fish farms in order to feed their children this LENT 2014.
P1/2 made up a song about space (Ellie). It helps us to remember the right order of the planets in our solar system (Chloe). We picked instruments to match the sound we thought goes with each planet (Robbie).

Climate Swap Table
To celebrate Climate Week P5/6 organised a swap table so all pupils in our school community could have a Spring Clean and recycle their unwanted clothes toys books and films. Mrs Nicol kindly designed badges so we could tell everyone at home we how we are trying to reuse our precious resources and look after the planet we live in.
