After practising cave painting pupils then created their own cave paintings on the walls of our own cave. Some pupils taped paper to the underside of tables to see how difficult it would be to paint cave ceilings.
As before paint brushes could not be used!

Lascaux cave paintings virtual tour
P5 used laptops to go on a virtual tour of the Lascaux Caves and explore the cave paintings.

Drums
P5 pupils enjoyed playing the drums. With P6 away to camp there were enough drums for everyone to have 1 each!
Cave painting
P5 practiced cave painting. Stoneage man did not have paint brushes so P5 were not allowed to use brushes. The could only use the stick end of a paint brush, fingers, small pieces of leather, chalk and charcoal.

P2 enjoyed a fun afternoon sharing their favourite books with P5/6.
P5/6’s Rainforest Junk Plants
This week Primary 5/ 6 learned about Rainforest plants and about adaptation. Adaptation is when a plant or animal adapts to live in a type of habitat. We created our own species of plants that were adapted to live in the Rainforest using junk. We had lots of fun doing this and made some amazing plants!

P 2/3 Sponsor Bounce
On Wednesday 25th March P 2/3 did a sponsor bounce to raise money for charity. Our class’ charity is ‘Team Jack’ .
Some of us bounced a small ball using a racket and some bounced a ball using our hands.
When we were not bouncing we counted someone else’s bounces.
Some of us bounced on a space hopper. 
Lots of us bounced ourselves off a spring board. 
Bouncing was fun, it was exciting and it was tiring. We hope to raise lots of money. We will let you know!
P2/3 Made Mother’s Day Cards
P 2/3 with their finished Mother day cards.
We folded a piece of card. We chose the colour of tissue paper we wanted to use. Then we cut the tissue paper into circles.
Using glues sticks we glued the circles onto the card, starting with the biggest circle and finishing with the smallest.
Next we scrunched up yellow crepe paper for the middle. Then we finished the flower by drawing the stem and scrunching the tissue paper to make it look like a real flower.
Lastly we wrote ‘MUM’ at the bottom and wrote a message inside the card.
We hope our mums liked their card!
