P6/7 are looking forward to tomorrow’s parent appointments. Remember that your child can attend the meeting if you are happy for them to so and please look out for all the other things going on in the reception area while you wait!

Macmillan Coffee Morning
P6/7 are delighted to announce that our coffee morning made £1050 this morning. P6/7 would like to thank everybody who took time out of their day to come and visit us and Miss Glencorse would like to thank P6/7 and all the children and families who donated home baking. What a fantastic result for a fantastic charity!
BLES/ St Kent’s
All our P7’s are involved in working with BLES this week. We are getting a taste of what is involved and we are very grateful for the opportunity.
On Thursday, we are visiting St Kentigern’s for our first transition activity of the year. We are going to be doing some Literacy work with the English and Modern Languages Depts. We are really looking forward to this.
SHIRT AND TIE PLEASE!!!
Welcome to Poland!
The P6/7 classroom was transformed into Warszawa, or Warsaw as we would say in English. All the classes made WYCINANKI (vee-chee-non-kee). This meant we made some striking designs out of paper. Here are some classes with their finished work.
Welcome Back P6/7
P6/7 have made a fantastic start to the new term and Miss Glencorse thinks they are going to be a great example to the rest of the school this year.
Yesterday we chose new House Captains and well done to our successful candidates:
St Andrew’s
St Columba’s
St Margaret’s
St Kentigern’s
We look forward to working hard this year.
Gala-Day Fun
Gala-Day Fun
We had a great time during the parade on Saturday. Even the weather stayed dry! Our theme of Hollywood through the years provided some fantastic costumes. Well done to all who took part. Here are some photos of our wonderful costumes!
Relay Brilliance!
Both our Girls and Boys teams did brilliantly at yesterday’s Gala sports. The girls came flying into first place and the boys were just pipped into second place. Our girls team was Zara, Jo, Jenna and Abigail with our two fantastic subs, Renee and Abbie.
Our boys team was Kai, Diogo, Mackenzie and Cameron with Dean as our super sub
Miss Glencorse and Mrs Brennan are so proud of all the children as they gave up their own time to come to practices and, as always, looked amazing in their strips! Congratulations to both teams!!
Gala Success
Congratulations to our super talented performers in Friday’s Blackburn Schools Got Talent. Our Lady of Lourdes swept the boards winning first, second and third!!
Here is our winner Rosie. She sang a beautiful rendition of ‘Jar of Hearts’. She was amazing!
Our runners up were Eilidh and Lucas. Lucas sang ‘Wings’ by Birdy and was superb, while Eilidh wowed everyone with her gymnastics skills.
Our third place performer was Diogo, who did some amazing moves during his street dancing!
We are really proud of all of them. Well done!!
SCIAF Sponsored Assault Course
P6/7 completed our sponsored assault course for SCIAF yesterday. It was great fun and everybody did brilliantly. Miss Glencorse even did a circuit and was donated £10! Through our fundraising for this event, we have managed to raise an extraordinary amount of £633, which will be doubled by the Scottish Government. Thank you so much to everyone who was generous enough to sponsor us.
