Murrayfield is Famous!

After our visit from Sean Batty, The Courier wrote an article featuring all the schools in West Lothian who took part in the STV Children’s Appeal. We are very pleased to see that our school raised the most out of the 9 in West Lothian who took part.

Congratulations Murrayfield! You have done yourself proud!

P7 Pupil Consultation, Friday 6th October 2017, West Lothian Civic Centre

We were proud to have two of our Primary 7 House Captains, Lara Findlay and Aarin Higgins represent us at the P7 Pupil Consultation on Friday 6th October 2017 at  West Lothian’s Civic Centre.  There, they met with other P7 pupils from selected Primary Schools across the Authority to give their views on the quality of the education they receive.  Following the Consultation, they were given a quick tour of the Council Chambers.  What a terrific experience!

Busy P6

What a busy week in P6 this week!

We managed to get our McCoo’s up and they look absolutely fantastic! A big well done to all the children for their perseverance and hard work with their art work – it has definitely paid of.

Looking at all things “Islandy” we did a comparison between our lovely Island the UK and New Zealand. We explored famous landmarks around the UK and looked at compiling a list of things to do when visiting our Island.

The Children have worked hard in creating their own Islands through drawing maps, making sure they included sustainable sources of energy, harbors, lighthouses and a compass rose off course.

Bike ability has been a phenomenal success and everyone participated enthusiastically!

P7/6 News

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been a busy week in P7/6 with lots of competition winners. Congratulations to Katie Clifton for winning the Upper School Helmet design through Bikeability. Her helmet was beautifully drawn with planets on it, which linked to p7/6 class topic. Also, a huge well done to Rachel for showing resilience during her cycling- she kept going and never gave up.Well done to everyone in class who took part and raised money for Bikeability and the STV children’s appeal. The school raised over £1000 which was outstanding!

In class this week we managed to finish 2 displays for out class topic-the solar system and completed a Maths challenge on finding the radius of all the planets in the solar system! Well done to Lewis Dickie for his sheer determination with his division and to Dean Robertson for supporting others in his group with a calm and positive manner. Well done boys!

Here are some photos of our winners from Bikeability and our class display.

Have a lovely weekend
