A Brilliant Week in P5

In primary 5 we have being learning about area and we thought it was fun. We were also doing our space topic and we learned about how far planets are from each other.

In PE we played crabs and cranes and we did a daily mile and a monsters game.

We had master classes. The theme was Roald Dahl books. The choices were Charlie and the Choclate factory,  James and the Giant Peach, The Twits, The Witches, Going Solo and Georges Marvellous Medicine.

In literacy we pretended we were someone else writing a biography about ourself.

We also did reading and we had to find wow words in the book and write a new sentence about it. We had different reading books for each group.

P5 – Friday 15th February 2019

On Wednesday 13th February 2019 P5, P5/4 and P4 performed our Scottish Celebration, we sang lots of different songs including lots of different poems such as “From a Railway Carriage” by Robert louis Stevenson and he also wrote “The Whole Duty of Children” . After we celebrated some of the parents had some tea, coffee, irn bru, short bread and we also announced some of the raffle prize winners, some of the winners were Jordan, Brogan, Emily, Adam, Jamie and Kelsey.

On Tuesday 12th February 2019 Mrs Craig’s bike crew organised a bling your bike contest and we had to decorate it with Scottish things such as tartan, Scottish flags and also some  people even put irn bru and shortbread which was super creative.

Big Responsibilities

Well done to Kirsty and Jack who took on the Tech Team responsibilities on Friday at assembly because P6 and P7 were at CAB.

Also to Artemis, Amy-leigh. Kallie-Marie and Jordon for taking on the responsibilities of the JR’s.

You all did a fabulous job! Maybe P5 need to take over more often!

Scottish Celebration Evening

Primary 4 and Primary 5 put on a successful Scottish Celebration last night. They performed songs and poems from several Scottish artists and made their teachers very proud.

The money that they have raised through ticket sales and selling shortbread and Irn Bru will go towards an excursion for all 3 classes. We will have to work together to figure out the amount of money we have made and take into account any expenses before discussing between our classes what we would like to do.

Here are some moments from their evening.
