BREAKING NEWS

The P6 children have been learning all about tobacco and the effects and dangers of smoking. They are keen to extend their learning and are interested in your views on smoking around the school gate area.

Please help them by completing the survey that your child will bring home on Monday 27th May (survey is anonymous).

Please return the completed survey to the school via your child by Friday 31st May 2019. House points will be rewarded to children who bring their forms back to school J

We value your input. Thanks for helping.

Eco Masterclass Day

Good Morning Parents and Carers,

Despite the terrible weather yesterday, the boys and girls of Murrayfield had a great afternoon taking part in some fun and active Eco activities. The Masterclasses ranged from Eco Arts and Crafts, Den Building to making Bird Feeders and Handmade recycled paper.

Here are some photographs from my Eco Masterclass-Garden Clean up. Unfortunately we could not do as much as we hoped in the garden due to the high winds, but we did manage to make seed bombs and do some planting.

Have a lovely weekend.

Dancathon 2018

Good morning,

p4-7 had a fabulous morning at the Dancathon last Friday and I would like to share some photographs with you. We all danced to some excellent songs and even the teachers enjoyed themselves teaching the children some amazing dance routines 🙂

See if you can spot yourselves or your child having lots of fun!

A Day out at Oatridge Campus!

This morning the P7 boys and girls had a fabulous time at Oatridge Campus-promoting Life Long Learning skills for all. The children visited different stalls to look at what areas you could potentially apply for through Oatridge Campus and eventually work for in the future. There were some very interesting stalls including an Ice-Cream stall, Scottish Shortbread, Scotch Beef, a simulator tractor, 2 day old lambs and plenty more. It was a lovely morning out and the boys and girls had a fabulous time.

Here are some photos of our day at Oatridge.

p7 and P6 Alternative Week

Good afternoon everyone,

Today, Mr Young came to support the boys and girls in playing Boccia-a game similar to french Bowls and lawn bowls. They were all given a small ball and had to practice some target games before playing the real game. They children really enjoyed the game and are looking forward to some tasty treats later on today!

Here are some photos of the boys and girls having fun!

P7/6 Show Art

The p7/6 class have been very busy this morning making beautiful flowers for the school show. We have also been making paper chain vines and massive leaves for the jungle display. Despite the weather, spirits are up and there are still lots of hard working, happy pupils in class today.

Here are some photos of their hard work.

P7/6 World Book Day

Good Morning Boys and Girls,

Hope you managed to have lots of fun in the snow yesterday. I have seen some of your photos on class dojo and some of them are absolutely brilliant. A prize will go to the best one. I managed to go out for a walk/slide in the snow but I might need to go and dig out my poor car this morning-It has been caught in a snow drift 🙁

Anyway, as it is World Book Day I thought I would upload some resources for you to try. Please do not worry if you can’t print these off. You can just write down the words that you find from the cross word and draw out the selfie idea onto paper if you have any. Also, please continue to read your class novels with a yummy cup of hot chocolate and your duvet. Stay snug and cosy today.

Stay safe everyone.
