P5 Week 2: Home Learning

Please try to complete 1 Literacy and 1 Numeracy task each day, along with 1 Additional task. Further activities can be found on our P5 2019-20 Teams page under the ‘Fun Activities’ channel.

LITERACY
Reading: Comprehension – Reading comprehension
Choose a book to read. This can be one you have at home or one accessed via Oxford Owl or Epic!
Choose 3 of the tasks from the grid to complete.

Writing: Persuasive Text
Choose a subject to write a persuasive text on. Examples include:

  • Why children should have longer break/lunch times
  • Why children should wear school uniforms
  • Why schools should have pets

Please remember that this text is on a subject of your choice! And please remember to refer to the writing targets (Persuasive SECOND LEVEL pupil-friendly targets) as you will be assessed on these. This should be submitted into the correct Assignments folder.

Grammar: Adjectives
Task 1:

Work your way through the ‘Adjectives’ PowerPoint which can be found in Teams > Files > 30th March > Literacy.
This PowerPoint is pre-recorded. To access this feature click on the ‘Slide Show’ tab at the top, then the ‘From Beginning’ button.
Complete the tasks set in the PowerPoint in your Class Notebook.
