SWAY Newsletter March 2018
We are very pleased to share our second SWAY style newsletter of this session which can be accessed using the link below. Again, we are so proud of all the wonderful learning happening in our school and feel that this is an ideal way of sharing it with you all.
It would be great if you were able to look at the SWAY with your children as it should provide an excellent opportunity for discussion.
It can be viewed via phone, tablet or laptop. We will be sending home qr code stickers with the children which will take you straight to the SWAY. The qr code can be scanned via an app on your mobile device. These are available to download for free.
We would love if you could leave us a comment here with your feedback.
Important message from Mrs French
Who is the tallest of them all?
Today P2 have been learning about measuring. They have used the language taller, shorter, tallest and shortest. They organised themselves in height order to find out who was the tallest in the class.
We also began using our feet and hands to measure with. We know that we need to measure from one end to the other end and that our feet or hands must touch each other as we measure.
Primary 2 begin coding
This week in Primary 2 we have started to investigate coding using an app called Scratchjr. We have been “tinkering” with the technology and we can explain exactly what that means! We are hoping to have an opportunity soon to help teach Primary 1 how to get started with this too.
