Home Learning in Class 5

Class 5 pupils have done a fantastic job with their home learning this week, getting to know their way around Seesaw and using some of the tools available as well as working on other activities.  I have received some great videos and photos; it’s a really nice way to keep in touch. The pupils in school also got the opportunity to complete some of the activities.  We also have a virtual classroom where the pupils can access their songs and activities we regularly use in class.

Class 5 and famous European artists

Class 5 had a busy week for Europe week, we decided to look at famous European artists and create some of our own masterpieces.  We created some colourful block paintings similar to the German artist Paul Klee.  We used Georges Seurat from France as our inspiration for some pointillism art work.  Of course the Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh provided us with some great ideas to create out own ‘Starry Night’ paintings.  Mr Hunter also helped the class to learn about the Italian artist Michelagelo Caravaggio and created  their own fruit designs.
