Helping our Heroes!

Primary 7 have recently created a stunning batch of Easter cards to send to our troops in Afghanistan. They also sent some tasty Easter eggs which were most gratefully received.

The soldier’s wives picked the most artistic cards from all of the schools who sent cards and three of our pupils won!

Many thanks to Lynn and her colleague who joined us from Co-operative Funeral Care to present the prizes to our winners.

Co-operative Funeral Care very kindly donated the prizes for the competition.P4260815

At the end of a very busy day the whole school came together to find out how much money had been raised. Everyone participated in the sing-a-long song and dance for Sports Relief 2016. The total for this event is approximately £840, if anyone still has money to send in please do so. Primary 4 would like to thank everyone for their help and support.

Everyone has settled in really well. No tears (though not a huge amount of sleep either!).

Yesterday’s activities were a combination of two of the following;  Low Ropes, Tree Climb, Nightline and Mini Survival. Last night we all took part in the Iron Man challenge. This morning was a huge Search and Rescue mission (task- not a real emergency!) in the beautiful weather.

This afternoon each group will complete the two remaining activities from the above list. Tonight we’ll all get dressed up for the Cheesy Disco!

Tomorrow morning we’re looking forward to stripping beds, packing cases,  Team Challenges and Rocket Launch.

After lunch we’ll head back home. We are hoping to be back at school for 3/3.15. Please meet the children from the bus if you can as it will save them pulling their luggage up to the school. We will groupcall if there are any delays.
