Today we took part in a mini Highland Games.
We had a Tug-of-War, a sack race, a wheelbarrow race and even had a go at tossing the caber.
Well done to everyone who took part and encouraged their teammates to do their best.
Mrs Wards

Today P6/5 found what was left of the snow and had some fun.
We had to work in a team and build the highest snow tower possible in 15mins.
The winning team working extremely well together and build a snow structure which was 138cm tall! It was very impressive.
Well done to the other teams who also worked very hard.
Last week we spent time in the garden inspecting soil samples.
We found snails, lots of worms and even a centipede!
We used magnifying glasses and microscopes to get a better look at things. The worms were very interesting up close and we found tiny pieces of glass in the soil that “sparkled like diamonds”
Good morning all

Mrs Burns
We have been learning:
Pupils and staff of St Joseph’s are continuing to get to know pupils and staff of Mkyashi Primary School, Tanzania.
We are delighted to inform you that, this laptop is on its way to Tanzania with Mrs Strain on Friday the 7th of February. She has kindly offered to help support education in the area and further develop our links with the people of Mkyashi. We are sure she will have a wonderful experience and we wish her a safe journey. Also, we look forward to her return on the 17th of February, where we are sure she will have lots to tell us!
Mr Kildae, who has been working with Mrs Strain since joining St. Joseph’s in January, will continue teaching in Primary 5/4. After Mrs Strain’s return, Mr Kildae will continue as a member of the teaching staff within the school.
