Here is the finished Titanic that Primary 4-5 have worked so hard on. We are all very proud of it and everybody had a job to do. We hope you like it as much as we do!
A dragon came to visit P1
The Friendly Dragon visited our classroom. Fairyland is disappearing because no one believes in fairytales anymore. The dragon has asked primary 1 to rebuild fairyland. We were so excited and after some careful planning we got to work. We plan to build a castle, make a beanstalk, grow our own flower garden, make a rainbow and waterfall just to name a few. We would appreciate any donations of cardboard. Keep a look out for regular updates!
Eco Garden Club Cancelled
Due to the snow from storm Doris and to in order to ensure safe dismissal there will be no Eco Garden Club tonight.
We will resume next week as planned.
P1/2 Fun in Gymnastics
The Unsinkable Ship in Primary 4/5
Primary 4/5 are very excitied about their new topic ‘The Titanic’.
Everyone worked together in their table groups to produce a large Titanic for the classroom wall. The ship will be so big that each group worked on a section each (hull, cabins, funnels and sea). Everyone had to agree on the size of each section before they could begin. The whole class worked really well.
It’s not finished yet but here are some photos of us working on each section.
Sewing in P1
The children in primary 1 have started sewing their cushions. We made patterns for our cushions and cut our own material. We then used our new found sewing skills to sew them together and stuff them. The children have worked so hard on this project and have been so proud of their accomplishments.
Change of lunch menu
Next week there will be pancakes for all pupils on Tuesday afternoon and we thank the staff in the kitchen for providing them for us.
On Ash Wednesday the menu will be altered to provide meals with no meat. On the Red tray there will be Macaroni and on the Blue tray it will be Pizza. The Green tray will have a range of sandwiches without meat in the filling. On Thursday the Red tray will have Roast Beef and the Blue tray Kilted Sausages.
Barcaple
The campers had a great time in Barcaple and were a credit to their families and the school. They tried all of the activities and pushed themselves to try difficult challenges. The pupils fed back that they would recommend the camp to next year’s pupils. They will be making a powerpoint of photos with comments and we will post it on the blog when it is complete.
