The School App prize draw took place during our assembly today. Congratulations to all the winners!
Thank you to everyone who has downloaded the App – almost 200 downloads in our first week! Please encourage others to download it too. We would like every family to have it downloaded, but don’t stop there – mums and dads, grandparents, older brothers and sisters, childminders, after-school care.

A quick reminder of the fantastic NSPCC Net-Aware website https://www.net-aware.org.uk/which gives detailed advice and reviews of the different social media apps which young people use. It covers over 50 different apps including popular apps like Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat to lesser known apps such as MovieStarPlanet, Kik, Roblox and Musical.ly. It reviews the levels of risk associated with each app and also includes the views of different young people about each app and how safe they feel using it. This is an excellent website for parents to use where issues are arising with a particular app.

Appointments were sent out today, check school bags, homework diaries, pockets etc!! Make sure you download the new school app. Show your device with the app to receive a raffle ticket when you arrive for your appointment. Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday.

Thank you to all the family members and children who braved the rain and joined us on our welly walk this morning. 
Just a reminder for tomorrows welly walk, drop children off at normal times. We plan to leave at 9.30am for the morning session and 12.30pm for the afternoon session. Looks like there is light rain forecast so dress appropriately – hopefully we can find some puddles for a little splash!
This week the children have been very busy exploring our new tool area. They have been drilling, hammering, measuring and sanding. We have all been so proud at how carefull the children have been and how everyone has followed the safety instructions when using the tools . The children have started risk assessing the area themselves, reminding each others to put on the safety googles and stay back. Â 
Thank you to everyone that managed to come to stay and play yesterday. It is a great opportunity for your child to show you all the different play activities they enjoy at nursery and for you to see a wee snippet of their day.
Stay and play is the first Monday of the month, morning sessions 8.45am till 9.45am afternoon session is 12.10pm till 1.10pm.
