And we are off!

Well done P5 on the success of your assembly last week.

The children loved sharing their learning with their families and the rest of the children in the school..

 

 

 

A reminder that P4 (Mr Neale’s Class) will have their Conversation Cafe and assembly this Friday, 15th March, starting at 8:45. Join us for a tea or coffee and find out about the recent film Resilience which was shown here and in other local schools during the last few weeks.

Today we used microscopes to study everyday materials up close.

We were amazed by what we saw!

We studied bread, orange peel, vegetable soup, cheese, coffee, salt, pepper and sand.

 

P5 would like to thank our parent helper, Mrs Haigh, for all her hard work today. You were awesome!

On Tuesday 12th March a group of our Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils will visit Anfield Stadium in Liverpool then go to Manchester to watch Manchester City play Schalke.

Last week we celebrated World Book Day by enjoying some quiet reading time.

We have been learning:

• to take part in a Judo ‘taster’ session
• to read and spell words with the ‘ee’ sound (e.g. these and here)
• about Pancake Day and Ash Wednesday
• about the talents we have in our classroom

 

P5 learned some new judo moves and had fun this morning.

 

We are learning:

• about multiplication as repeated addition
• to sing in a ‘latin’ style (like Ricky Martin!)
• to write stories using our ‘Mighty Writer’ tool to help

Well done to these 4 superstars who came 2nd in the Rotary Quiz at Polkement this evening!

What a fantastic team they were, we are so proud of them!
