- to read and write words with the sound ‘a e’
- to make totals using coins
- to describe what we know about our new topic, the Loch Ness Monster

Last week we spent time in the garden inspecting soil samples.
We found snails, lots of worms and even a centipede!
We used magnifying glasses and microscopes to get a better look at things. The worms were very interesting up close and we found tiny pieces of glass in the soil that “sparkled like diamonds”

P6/5 tuned into the BBC this morning and joined Zoe Ball and several authors for a live lesson. We were given some great ideas and tips for writing our stories. We particularly enjoyed the writing tips from the authors.
