Rag Bag – Monday 8th of March 2021

Please do not send bags into school. Place them in or beside the RAGBAG collection container in the Staff Car Park. Please only bring them on Monday 8th March  in the morning.

There will be no bags sent home this time.

What they will take or won’t take.

Through Rag Bag your are able to help recycle textiles and clothing that may have ended up going to landfill. It is estimated that approximately 1.75 million tonnes of clothing waste is produced in the UK every year.

Out of this vast tonnage around 1.2 million tonnes is sent unnecessarily to landfill.

Whether you participate in the Rag Bag collections or have an external or internal recycling bank you are able to recycle the following items.

School Transport Survey

“The Passenger Transport Service is very keen to hear your views regarding both the transport provided and any contacts with the team.  There are two surveys to be completed depending on the type of transport your child(ren) use.

We appreciate that you may not have used this transport so much lately but your views are very important to us.  The links to the surveys are as follows;

School Bus Survey for Pupils and Parents 2020/21

School Taxi and Minibus Transport Survey 2020/21 .

Thank you for taking the time to complete the relevant survey.”

Glow and Microsoft Teams – Important Information for Parents and Carers

“Glow is the national online service funded by Scottish Government and provided by Education Scotland. This learning environment provides learners and educators across Scotland with access to a wide set of innovative digital services and resources designed to enhance learning and teaching across the whole curriculum.

Access to Glow is restricted to learners and educators who are issued with an account that can provide access to a number of different online services such as Microsoft Office 365G Suite for Education and Glow Blogs.

Online safety is of utmost importance in the delivery and management of Glow. Glow is not an open system, and should be viewed as an extension of the school/education establishment. Only learners, and adults who require access in relation to their role as teaching or support staff, are provided with Glow accounts. All adults will have been Disclosure Scotland checked at minimum prior to their individual Glow account being created. Therefore parents/carers logging in using their child’s Glow (and Teams) account and using Glow (and Teams) is not permitted; and in addition, schools should not issue children’s Glow accounts directly to parents.”The whole article can be found at https://glowconnect.org.uk/about-glow/glow-for-parents/
