At last we got outside and it wasn’t raining but what a week with snow in March! We started to tidy up and to make an inventory of what is in the shed.
Lots more to do so looking forward to the adult volunteers joining us next term.
Meet the Eco Garden Club. Planning and organising projects. Teams wanting to make a difference. Some seeds were planted and what a difference a week makes.
Thank you to all of the parents and grandparents who have volunteered to help out in the garden. I will be in touch very soon. There is still the opportunity to volunteer, just return the letter, send in a note or email the school office with your contact details.
Due to the snow from storm Doris and to in order to ensure safe dismissal there will be no Eco Garden Club tonight.
We will resume next week as planned.
Online sounds and reading at http://www.starfall.com/ and http://www.spellingcity.com/lawtoner/ where there are lots of fun activities for Primary 1 and Primary 2. Why not go there and keep up the good work!
We have been using collage to make the characters from our story “What the Ladybird Heard”.
We read the same story in Scots “Whit the Clockleddy Heard”. Comparing the stories we were able to work out what a “deuk in a dub” and a “hairy grumphie” were. Do you know?
Working with the Rekenreks! P1/2 use them to count, add and take away.
On a Friday Primary 7 work with their Primary 1 buddies. After reading together Primary 7 have been helping their buddy to read and write the common words.
