We have had several calls from local residents asking us to ask our parents to be more thoughtful and considerate to our neighbours.
Please do not block access to driveways or garages, try to keep noise down and perhaps walk a little further to avoid congestion in the streets closer to the school. Take advantage of the renewed footpaths/cycle paths which provide a safe route to the school when dropping off and collecting your children.
The Scottish Sun Book Bus was at our school on Friday to promote reading. Photos were in Saturdays Scottish Sun. Did you pick up your copy ?

Wow what a turn out!! Great to see so many family members turn up to read with their children. So happy to have such support for building our reading culture. Thank you.

We have been exploring how we can use Clicker for our Literacy tasks. Clicker Art lets us draw pictures. Clicker word processor “talks” what we type and prediction helps us to write sentences!
Poggle is the story of Vince, who wants to explore the forest but is too scared, until one day he meets Poggle, a friendly creature. Together they go on an adventure through the forest where they discover the magical musical tree. A warm hearted, sensory dance theatre piece with live music, clapping rhythms and comedy throughout in an imaginatively changing world that the children have the chance to explore.

In maths we have been exploring shape – we constructed lots of shapes and started to spot which shapes had been used to make other shapes.
The onebillion maths app has arrived. Our ipads are being well used as different groups are engaging with this new resource.
A flavour of our Halloween parties…..
The School App prize draw took place during our assembly today. Congratulations to all the winners!
Thank you to everyone who has downloaded the App – almost 200 downloads in our first week! Please encourage others to download it too. We would like every family to have it downloaded, but don’t stop there – mums and dads, grandparents, older brothers and sisters, childminders, after-school care.
Look out for more house point giveaways after the holiday.
