We have been learning:

• to use numicon to make patterns and representations of numbers
• to compete in a maths and spelling Sumdog challenge
• to read and spell words us the sound ‘a’ (a-e)

• to add and take away using a number line or number square to help
• to write a story about finding the Loch Ness monster
• to share some of our achievements outside of the classroom

 

We were learning:

• to think of questions about a story we had been reading
• to listen to and respond to baroque music
• to work with a partner creatively

• to spell and write words using the phoneme ‘o-e’
• to make up and act out a story, with a partner
• to read and write o’clock times

• to take turns and count carefully
• to use our imagination and creativity in making pictures of ‘Nessy’
• to make a tartan pattern with coloured paper

• about Loch Ness and what equipment a monster hunter might need
• to find new and interesting words in our reading book

• play dominoes with our friends
• use Clicker 6 to practice our spelling words

• to work with our friends across the school
• how to use numbers in a creative way – NUMBER HATS!!!

• to add numbers to 10 using a number-line
• to work together with our friends to make things

• to sing a new song called ‘Hey You’
