Leg it to Lapland Reward

On Monday, classes in St Joseph’s had the chance to take part in a ‘pedal powered cinema’. This was arranged as our school came third in the SusTrans Scotland ‘Leg it to Lapland’ challenge before Christmas. Everyone had a great time dancing, singing and cycling!
Christmas Carols

This week, P7 have been visiting some of our local care homes to spread some Christmas cheer. On Monday a group of our P7s visited Whitdale care home and today some of us visited Redmill care home. We enjoyed singing for the residents and are grateful for the very warm welcomes we have received. Merry Christmas from P7!
Outdoor Learning Day – P7

P7 had lots of fun during our school-wide Outdoor Learning day today. We found resources which we later used to make artworks and structures. We looked after our local community by taking part in a litter picking event and took part in a maths scavenger hunt in the playground.
St Joseph’s Foodbank Collection 2024
Thank you to everyone that donated towards the foodbank, thanks to your contribution we can help the people that are in need. We acquired 150 items in total.
P7s Project Based Learning
Today in class, P7 resumed their Project Based Learning activities. Each person chose a set of skills that they wanted to develop and then chose a project which would help them achieve these goals. Some wonderful work has been taking place so far!
P1’s Wonderful Woodwork

A big thank you again to Mr Binnie, who came in to visit our P1s yesterday. We made some wonderful drawings and then used wood to turn them into real models.

P7 – Reporting the News as it Happens

P7 took part in a visit to Sky Up Academy in Livingston today. We researched our topic (A.I) then the team at Sky helped us share all this information by creating a news report. P7 parents can see our report via the QR code on the sky up card which your child brought home.
