The nursery are holding their first ‘Nursery Natter’ session on Friday 27th September 10am – 12pm. Come along and chat with Miss Smith and other parents/carers of nursery children. It would be great to see you there!

We are really excited to have been chosen by the Scottish Book Trust as one of the schools to take part in a live online ‘Draw with Rob’ session on Wednesday 2nd October! It is aimed at P1-4 level.

Therefore, we would like to invite our P1 – P4 parents to join their children in class to take part in this event. (If you have more than one child between P1 – P4, the event will be set up in the hall so you can take part as a family).

The event will run from 10.50 – 12pm. Please join us in making this a great event. This will also help the school move closer to achieving their Silver Reading Schools Award.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our visit their child’s classroom a fortnight ago. It was another very successful event.

The next session will be held on Wednesday October 30th (in the afternoon). Details of timings will be sent out nearer the time.

As a school, we are reviewing our policy on homework and value your opinions. Can you please fill out the Google form below? If you have more than one child at the school you only need to fill out one form; there is a box at the bottom if you wish to write anything for a specific class.

The Parent Council Constitution is available for you to review before the upcoming AGM on Monday 23rd September.

St Joseph’s RC Primary (Whitburn) Constitution – September 2024

We are delighted and proud to share that the school is now officially a ‘Reading School’ after achieving our Core Level Reading Award from the Scottish Book Trust.

A huge well done to all staff and pupils involved in this. We look forward continuing our reading journey as we hold lots of reading events throughout this year.

We are excited to be working with West Lothian Foodbank to produce our very first Summer Fashion Show!

The pupils have put in a lot of work in order to make the event a huge success and would appreciate your support on the day. We would love as many parents & carers to come to it as possible to support the children and West Lothian Foodbank.
