Look how busy we have been!!!!!

This has been a really busy week!!!!!

We have been picking the apples from our tree in the garden and taking them to our potato box. We have been developing our own imagination skills by creating what we are thinking, we made ‘Mud apple soup’. Rocco was trying to gather interest among his peers by calling out “Get your apple Soup here!!!!!”

Amelia, “We need another apple!!”

Jacob, “there is ten apples”

We are going to Harvest the Apples from the tree and make Apple Crumble!!! Yummy.

We also took part in a science activity with Miss Livingston. This involved using little cardboard tubes, vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, and food colouring. We  watched to see what would happen when all the ingredients were put together and linked the colour explosion to our mood monsters by using describing words to express our thoughts such as: sad, happy, angry, worried etc

Karim “that’s stinking”

Oonagh, “red is for angry, green is for worried”

We are going to do more science activities to further develop our observation skills and thoughts

We are developing our paint station and have lovely new pump action bottles and used the primary colours blue, red and yellow so that we can do mixing and explore the changes that take place when two or three  colours are mixed together.  We have also been exploring our curiosity in mark making by using sticks and paint.

The weather stayed nice so that we could get to make make Hot marshmallows at the fire pit. We were told all about the safety around the fire such as why we have to have a bucket of water near and why we don’t go past the red rope without an adult,  we listened really well to this and waited our turn to roast our Marshmallow We were very interested used language to describe and ask questions and we want to make other things:

Karim, “Hot Chocolate”

Argyll, ” whats that smell?”    Smoke

Cody, “The fire is nice and cosy”

James “mallow!! Yummy!!!!
