Car Park

As improvements are made to the Polbeth Community Centre car park, can we please remind all parents/ carers that they must not enter St Marys School car park, or use the nursery car park to drop off or collect children. Apologies for the inconvenience, we appreciate your cooperation.

Thank you.

Sunny Day

It’s a sunshine day! Hooray! 💛☀️😄
Please ensure you apply sun cream to your child before they attend nursery when weather is warm and sunny. We also ask that you hand in a bottle that can stay in nursey and can be reapplied if necessary.
We LOVE to be outdoors in all weathers.

Virtual Playroom 2

We are very happy that you are enjoying all the activities in Polbeth Nursery Virtual Playroom. The pictures you have been putting on your Learner Journals are amazing and great that you are sharing the experience with your siblings and expressing your own ideas. Well done.

The staff  have been working really hard to continue giving you interesting and stimulating activities to engage in. We hope you enjoy exploring the new playroom over the next couple of weeks and please continue to put your pictures on your Learner Journals.

Look out for a link to our dedicated Literacy space within the playroom, this will provide loads of great activities to support the children’s listening and attention skills and communication development.

This week sees the launch of Word Boost.
You will find this in our new literacy room. The story/activities will change each week so please keep an eye out for this. Word Boost is an initiative that we would normally work on with the older children during story time, however we can’t right now with everything going on. We thought we would bring word boost to your home. Each week the children will learn four ‘new’ words which have been taken from a pre-selected story. This initiative involves parents and staff, to work together supporting their child to reinforce these targeted words. Each week, a new set of words and story will be read accompanied with some activities. We would really appreciate if you could help your child wit this activity and work your way through the tasks. Happy learning new words!

Virtual Playroom Update

We hope you are all doing well  during this current lockdown. We know that it is very difficult for you all at this time to keep your children occupied especially if you have older children who are doing Home Schooling. I am sure you are all doing a wonderful job and we at the Nursery congratuate you on the wonderful job you do as parents/carers. Stay strong and keep safe. Lets hope we get back to some normality soon.

We have decided to keep the Virtual Playroom as it is for another week and hope that you are enjoying exploring all the areas. We will update with new things to explore next week Monday 8th February.

To celebrate Scotland Loves Languages week, we have a lovely Spanish/English story about feelings to share with you. This is a great story for your children to share with you how they are feeling which i am sure you will all enjoy. Click on the Link below to listen to the story.
