Word boost – The selfish crocodile by Faustin Charles
What are BOOST words?
âBoostâ words are good words for helping your child with their talking, listening, reading and writing. We want your child to learn words like âenormousâ and âtinyâ so that they can use these as well as words like âbigâ and âsmallâ.
Where do the BOOST words come from?
The âboostâ words are taught through the context of a story. We will focus on 3-4 âboostâ words from the chosen story each week.
Why are we focussing on BOOST words?
âBoostâ words increase your child`s vocabulary and help to explain their ideas and thoughts better when they are talking. âBoostâ words also help them to understand what they are reading.
You can listen to the story or read it aloud if you`ve got this book at home. Click the link below.
