A1 and P1 PM Writing Task 06/05/20

Good Morning boys and girls!

We hope you had a lovely long weekend and are ready for some PE with Joe at 9am!

For this morning’s writing task, have another read over the story we used last week.  This will help you with your writing today.

Now have a look at today’s task.  You will find ‘The Big Tree – Task 5’ inside your pack.

recount_big_tree_activity 5

The purpose of this task is to write a simple recount about ‘The Little Puppies’ with support.  First, talk about what is happening in the picture at the top.  Then, using the word bank to help you, write a simple recount similar to the one we read about ‘The Big Tree’.

We would love to see your writing!  Please send us a copy!

After all of your hard work, have a rest and listen to today’s story from David Walliams.

A1 & P1 sense of smell

Good morning A1 & P1 I hope you are all well. Last week we explored our sense of taste I hope you all enjoyed lots of different tasty treats. This week I thought we could explore our sense of smell. You will need

  • Small containers or jars
  • Light fabric
  • Rubber bands
  • A selection of fraigrent ingredients of your choice.

Simply place your ingredients into your container, cover with a peice of fabric and seal with a rubber band. Let’s see how many different smells you can identify and how they make you feel?

I hope you all enjoy a well deserved long weekend, Have fun and stay safe.

Good Morning A1!

What better way to get our Friday feeling than doing PE with Joe.  What will he be dressed up as this Friday?

Do you believe it is May already?  Let’s learn the month names by singing along with Mother Hen to the ‘Months of the Year Song’.

Narrative Language – Thursday 30th April

Good Afternoon!

I hope you have all been keeping safe during this time. This afternoon I have another Narrative Language task for you all to complete.

First I would like you to listen to the story ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen

After you have watched the video I would like you to tell you parent or carer all the places the family had to go through to find the bear. Lets see if you can remember WHERE they went.

Finally, I would like you to get a piece off paper and draw your own picture of you going on a bear hunt. Where do you think you would find a bear?

I’m looking forward to seeing all your pictures! Ask your parent or carer to send them to me on twitter or comment them below so I can see them.

Our twitter is @wlblackburnps

A1/P1 Shadow pictures 29/04/20

Good afternoon A1/P1. I hope you have all had a great morning.

I thought today as the weather is a bit rubbish, we could make some cool lights.
All you will need is –
  • cellotape
  • An empty pringles tube or toilet roll / kitchen roll tube
  • Paper
All you need to do is draw any character of your choice, just make sure it’s no bigger then the end of your tube. My example is the Gruffalo, but you could choose anything you like.
Once you’ve cut out your picture you need to cellotape it over the open end of your tube. You can then either shine a torch through the other end or an adult could help cut a hole to pop their phone torch in.
You can then see your image appear on the wall! You could make a story with your pictures or even build a den and shine them in there.
I hope you have fun making your shadow pictures and I look forward to seeing all your photos.
Kirsty 😊
