P2/3 French 28/05/20

Bonne apres-midi tous les monde! Good afternoon everyone!

It’s time for some French. Who can tell me what the weather is today in French … ? Last week we looked at La Meteo and I have some activities for you to have a go at to see what you can remember about the weather. Remember you can always look over the powerpoint from last week if you need a refresher.

P2/3 Storywriting 28/05/20

Good morning P2/3. Let’s start our day with Joe.

For our storywriting task this morning I want to use your imagination to create a story about a sea adventure. Are you a beautiful mermaid who goes on an adventure to the shore? Or a fearsome pirate trying to steal some treasure? Or are you on a diving trip where you can visit the magical underwater creatures? Be as creative as you can and don’t forget your pictures! I can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

P2/3 Science 26/05/20

Good afternoon everyone. I hope you are having a good day and enjoying the activities being posted so far. This afternoon I have an Under the sea food chains powerpoint for you to have a look through. For your activity, I would like you to have a go at making a food chain. You are free to choose whichever animal you like, but you will need to think carefully about what they eat and where their food comes from. I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

P2/3 Literacy 26/05/20

Good morning boys and girls. Are we all ready for our daily workout with Joe to start the day off? I know I am.

For Literacy this morning I have found a little Under The Sea – What Am I? powerpoint quiz for you to have a go at. Each slide gives you 3 clues to try and work out which sea creature is hiding behind the rocks. Have a try and see how you get on ( I definitely need more practisce with my knowledge of sea creatures!)

If you fancy an extra challenge try out this Under the Sea Riddles worksheet. Good luck!

A1 STEM 25/05/20

Good afternoon A1! I hope you are all keeping safe and well and enjoying the sunshine that has made a comeback.

For our STEM activity this week I thought we could build our very own bug hotels. These can be made from using lots of natural materials (such as twigs, leaves, soil,, some grass, pine cones, etc) and placed in a container like an empty plastic bottle that has been cut, or an old shoe box, or even built up on bits of wood. Here are some pictures to help you get creative Bug hotels. I’ll be building one with my little girl too.

Have a lovely afternoon.

P2/3 HWB 25/05/20

Hello again everyone. As our mini topic is all about the Sea, for HWB we need to think about water safety and what dangers could be lurking when we are near water.

Your task is to create a poster to show others how to be safe when near water (could be the sea, the beach, a swimming pool, etc). Let’s get creative and arty this afternooon!

P2/3 Literacy 25/05/20

Good morning everyone. It’s Monday today which means it’s the start of another week of home learning! Who’s ready to take on the week? Let’s start off with our workout with Joe

When you catch your breath, I want you to choose a spelling activity from the grid and complete it in your jotter. We are keeping the words the same, but can you think of any more words that link to our sea theme? You could add them to your word list.

I’ll check in again after break with some Numeracy.

P2/3 RME 22/05/20

Hello again. I hope you all managed the Word Boost activity this morning. Time for some RME. I thought we could learn about the word Karma – some of you may have heard of it or have an idea of what it means but this Karma powerpoint will help you to understand how it relates to Buddhism and the origins of the word (where it originally came from).

Hope to speak to some of you in today’s assembly but have a lovely weekend everyone and stay safe.
