  • A number bond to 10 means a pair of numbers that give the total 10.
  • For example, 5 + 5 =10, 8 + 2 = 10, 4 + 6 = 10. 
  • Let’s warm up for today by joining in with this “Friends of Ten” song to help us learn the number bonds for 10

  • Today we are going to try to identify all the pairs of numbers that make 10
  • How many different ways can you think of to make 10?
  • Try to learn the rhyme from this power point to help you remember the pairs

  • Now look at the worksheet below and record the calculations with your answers in your jotter

  • You could use the interactive Rekenrek to help or use 10 cubes, counters, beads etc
