The children in P6 have been busy this week rehearsing for the Olivia show. We have worked hard each afternoon to learn our words, songs and dances and it is really starting to come along well. Some of us were busy taking pictures during rehearsals and have created comic strips with these to showcase our learning.
During class time we have been focussing on persuasive language and used what we learned to create posters to encourage people to come along and see our show in March. Mrs Jamieson has been working hard with a small group of us to set up a fundraising event which will take place during school on 4th March (more details will follow).
Also this week we have been creating our final pieces for the Art Exhibition on Thursday 26th February. We have chosen a movie theme for our pictures to link in with our ‘Lights, Camera’ Action’ topic and can’t wait to show them all off on the day!
We are really enjoying our new topic. During the last couple of weeks we have been working in small groups to create a storyboard then script for the movies we have made up together. In the next few weeks we will begin creating scenery and props and then finally begin recording our movies using iMovie.
We hope that everyone enjoys the long weekend and is feeling refreshed coming back to school next week as we have lots planned for our big show!
