P3e

We have had a fun week in primary 3 learning about our new topic. We are looking forward to learning lots about the Egyptians. This week we have been finding out about Egyptian jobs. We now know about the roles of a Pharaoh, Priest, Scribe, Farmer and Slave. Most of us would like to have been a Pharaoh as they were rich and got to make up the rules of the land. We also learned that most children did not go to school. Girls were not allowed to go to school at all! Some boys went to school to become scribes. We look at Egyptian clothing and jewellery. The rich people of Egypt wore fancy clothes which were all different colours and patterns. They also all wore make up, even the men. We created our own Egyptian pattern necklaces.

We look forward to learning more about Egypt next week.

  1. Hi Primary 3e,

Your new topic on the Ancient Egyptians will be lots of fun and you’ll learn lots about how they used to live. I read in the newspaper today that when Tutankhamen’s mask was being cleaned the beard was broken and the people in charge glued it back together but didn’t dona very good job. What do you think about this?

    Have a lovely weekend.

    Miss Henderson
