We have had a very busy week in class 1.
As part of our ‘Our Community’ topic, we were learning about the post office. Joe’s gran sent us a letter. We opened the letter and discovered the important parts of a letter.
Lewis – You need to have the address, date, who is getting the letter and the from.
We used our checklist to help us write our own letters.
We also had a post office in our classroom.
Yolie – I played in post office. I put a stamp on the Hello Kitty letter and put it in the post box.
In maths we have been learning about shapes. We made models with Miss Waddell using junk and 3D shapes.
Joe – I made a robot and I had fun. It had rectangles and cylinders.
As a very special treat, Mrs McLean helped us to make Frozen mud.
Gabriel – It was the best thing I’ve ever seen.
Jayden – I love clean mud. It felt soft. It had water and tissues and soap. I squished it with my hands.
Hi Class 1,
Your our community topic sounds very interesting and great that Joe’s gran sent you a letter so that you could see what a letter needs to have on it. The frozen mud sounds like great fun. I’ll need to ask Mrs McLean how to make it. Keep up the good work, everyone.
Have a lovely, long weekend.
Miss Henderson
