This week we have been having lots of fun in class.
Topic -We have been learning about Charles darwin and the theory of evolution.
Becky- we used the Devolve Me app to see what we would have looked like many years ago and how we have evolved. It was really fun!

As if that wasn’t enough fun we have each been creating a new species of animal. We decided the best way to let people know about our creations was to make an information leaflet. Here are some of our leaflets ….
Writing – Lucy Mack -We have been learning how to describe a setting in a story and I think it’s great fun. I can use lots of interesting words in my story now.
Maths – Sasha Brown – We are learning about place value this week and I really enjoyed making a new place value game for the class.
What an extremely busy and enjoyable week P5d. I really like the look of the Devolve Me app. I wonder if I would look differently?! Perhaps someone could come along and show me how this works?

Love the devolve me app mrs Drummond. and the times table Tuesday. also the new speices leaflets. I have been practicing my 2,4,5,6 and 10 times tables ilove the mysterious wardrobe story’s I love Carter’s story. oh also really like the times table games. I basicly love all the work we are getting in primary 5.

I really liked writing the spooky stories because it felt like I was part of the story.

I’d like to read some of your writing where you have been working on describing settings. Spooky stories appeal to me and I think I’d enjoy seeing how scary yours are. Sasha, has anyone been playing your place value game? Maybe you could teach a group of us how to play?
