As part of our ‘People Who Help Us’ topic, we have been learning about the Fire Brigade. We have been learning about the role of a Fire Fighter and how important their special uniform is.

We have our very own fire station in class 1, where we love to dress up like Fire Fighters! We have been learning about the different equipment that Fire Fighters use. We especially enjoyed learning about fire engines! Here we are building our very own fire engine!
At Drama, we have been pretending to be Fire Fighters. We went on a special mission to extinguish the fire in the Sensory Room!

We have been writing all about what to do if you see a fire. Mrs Stewart brought her special stamp to Class 1 as she was so impressed with our great writing!

Hi Class 1,
I really enjoyed reading your blog this week as it shows how much work you have been doing on learning about the role of a fire fighter. The dressing up costumes look brilliant and it looks like you have been having lots of fun acting out the part of a fire fighter. Mrs Stewart must have been very impressed with your work which I would love to see too. I will pop in next week to have a look and will bring my special stamper with me when I visit.
