Last Week’s Blog

On Monday afternoon, Mrs Drummond came to our class to do some drumming with us. We learned the names of different drums and other percussion instruments. We also learned that the drums we played were made from goat’s skin. We completed different activities to keep a beat. We tapped the syllables in our names and did a polyrhythm. (This means we were playing two different beats at the same time.) We really enjoyed it!

On Wednesday, Mr Berginis revised symmetry with us. Symmetry is when an image is the same at both sides. We also learned about the line of symmetry. This is the imaginary line where you could fold the image and have both halves match exactly. We used reflectors to find the line of symmetry and used ipads to draw the other half of a picture.
