p3/2s

On Wednesday morning we had shared start with our parents and carers.  It was very busy and the time passed really quickly.  The children had great fun presenting their learning to the adults. 

Demi-Leigh and Isla both enjoyed learning about quarter past and quarter to the hour when we were learning about time in maths this week.

Robert enjoyed doing subtraction bingo during shared start.

Jason enjoyed reading in class and Erin liked story writing this week, writing about a magical forest.

Liam liked shared start when his mum and his little sister came to see him work out the properties of shapes. Sophie also liked learning about the properties of shapes with her granny during shared start.

Suvi liked making maths shapes out of nets during shared start.  Oliver enjoyed shared start with his mummy.  He also liked making shapes out of nets.

David has really enjoyed story writing this week and he wrote and described a beautiful bird.

Charlie M. liked the P. 7 assembly about China.  He though it was really good and so did Mr. Stewart!

Ben enjoyed drama which involved lots of fun activities.  Aaron and Mia also liked learning about being a storm in drama.

Megan enjoyed doing the hundred square jigsaw with her dad during shared start.

Sophia enjoyed story writing and drawing to illustrate her story.

Sam enjoyed learning about fractions – halves and quarters.

Alfie and Connor both enjoyed mental maths doing addition and subtractions in their heads.

Emma liked making shapes out of nets to show her mummy during shared start.

Lauren liked practicing the harvest song this week.

Ava enjoyed getting a fireball in gym this week.

Charlie Davidson liked learning about pond habitats and all the animals and plants that live in ponds this week.

    Sophie and her granny had a lovely time at shared start working with shapes and the 100 square. Hope I get to come along next time,

  3. What a busy week! Suvi’s dad enjoyed having a go at some of the great activities at shared start. They sounded like great fun.
