Highlights from this week in p3/2

This week we started our Roman Families topic. Everyone has taken a great interest in Rome and where it is and learning about life in Roman times. We have especially enjoyed learning about the story of how Rome was founded. Why not ask us to tell you the story about the twin boys?  Our other highlight this week is finding out about Roman artefacts. We have all enjoyed learning about artefacts and thinking about what each object tells us about life in Roman times. A few pupils were able to tell the rest of the class about artefacts they found in and around their own homes and we were fascinated by the Bovril bottle that was found in the steps of Balbardie PS in 2010 that had been there for some time. Its great to see History come alive! We hope everyone enjoys the Home Learning project!

  1. Hi Primary 3/2,

I’m pleased to hear that you are continuing to enjoy your Romans topic work. I’ll try to remember to ask someone about the twin boys. I didn’t know about the Bovril bottle so will also ask someone to tell me all about it. Keep up the good learning.

  2. Skye is very much looking forward to working on her project. I have also just asked her about the twin boys she has been learning about and I didn’t know this story of how Rome was named! Every day is a school day, even for us adults!
