P2e

We have a had a very busy week in Primary 2e. We had our class assembly today. We were all a bit nervous but we managed to speak clearly to our audience. We all had a great time performing in our assembly. Miss Elliot is very proud of us and was very impressed with our performance. We had a big audience as lots of parents, grandparents and other family members and friends came along to see us!

As well as practising for our assembly, we have worked hard in other areas. We have been learning more about Scotland and some famous people who come from Scotland. We recognised a few famous faces such as Susan Boyle and Andy Murray. Freddie even recognised William Wallace. We learned a lot about Robert Burns and listened to a recital of ‘Address to a Haggis’. We all enjoyed dancing to Auld Lang Syne.

On Wednesday we joined up with P2H and had a Scottish celebration. We played peevers out in the playground and we learned some Scottish dances. We then tried some Scottish foods. We had the chance to try haggis, neeps and tatties, shortbread, oatcakes, cheese and irn bru. We also got a little gift to take home which included homemade shortbread and tablet.

  1. Hi Primary 2e,

I really enjoyed your assembly this morning and was also very impressed with how well you all did to remember your lines and all of the words to the songs. I saw lots of happy mums and dads and families leaving at the end which shows how much they enjoyed it too. Well done, everyone.

I’m pleased that you enjoyed all of the activities that you did with P2g on Thursday. They all sound very exciting. Congratulations to Mya, Leia and Karys on your Burns Poetry Recitals.

    Have a lovely weekend.
