week 1;
Spooky School!
We had lots of Hallowe’en fun! We worked cooperatively in trios to design and carve Hallowe’en pumpkins. Some had one eye, some had three eyes and lots had scary cracks and scars! The inside of the pumpkin was squidgy and slimy! We also enjoyed Hallowe’en arts, crafts and puzzles.
Last week was what we had all been waiting for…animation week! We worked very excitedly to make our animations. Some of us brought in figures and backgrounds from home and some of us made our characters out of plasticiene. We learned to move our characters slightly and take a photo each time to blend it all together into a movie. It is called stop motion. We also explored with the ‘Lego Movie’ app to add special effects and music. We loved your idea Mrs Spence of having a screening to watch each other’s animation, especially with popcorn! We have dropping hints to Miss Goff haha!
Well done to everyone as we ALL kept our Golden Time last week!

We made clay stars in Art which where we had to portray different expressions. Miss Goff had to guess what the expression was to see if we achieved our Success Criteria.
In gym, we learnt 2 different passes in basketball; a bounce pass and a chest pass.

A group of children went on an adventure around the school, looking for nouns. Our best one was a trolley! We also met some people along the way and learned names are proper nouns!
A few people went to Fireworks displays for Guy Fawkes Night.
We enjoyed a fabulous assembly by P5m who told us the story of Guy Fawkes and how to be careful around fireworks.
We have been practicing for our assembly on the 22nd November – don’t miss it!
Have a fab weekend!
Scott, Ben, Olivia and Andrew
What a very busy and exciting two weeks in school. I really like Mrs Spence’s idea of screening your animations – could I come too?
You have identified some of Andrew’s and Lexis’ outstanding qualities.
You are having such a wonderful P4 – keep it up!
Hi Primary 4g,
WOW! You have been so busy during the first two weeks of term. Your animations sound brilliant. I would love to come to the special screening too:). I agree with Mr Welsh that you are a fabulous class who all work so well together. Keep up the great work.
Miss Henderson
Hello 4g,
I really enjoyed seeing your work on summarising the main idea from the spooky story Miss Goff read when I visited your class. I was very impressed with the comic strips some of you had chosen to make based on this work.
Mrs Spence
We can’t wait for our AMZING ASSEMBLY I hope you all enjoy it
wow Miss Goff sounds fun really
Hi Boys and Girls,
I’m not in school next week as have to go to university for the morning. I am so disappointed that I won’t be in school for your amazing assembly. Could I come to your dress rehearsal so I can see a sneak preview? Let me now when it is if that would be okay.
Miss Henderson
