Symmetry in Class 1

Class 1 have been learning about symmetry.  We have been looking at symmetrical butterflies and even had a go at creating our own!

We had fun using mirrors to find out whether or not the shapes and objects were symmetrical.

We completed symmetrical colour patterns and especially enjoyed drawing symmetrical faces with Miss Cameron.

At Choose Time,  Jayden enjoyed painitng his hands and printing them on paper.

‘Look!  It’s symmetrical hands!’  Jayden

“I made the face the same on the other side.” Cameron

Next week we will go outside and explore symmetry in nature.  We will collect objects and decide if they are symmetrical or not symmetrical.

  1. I love your symmetrical butterflies, Class 1. I have found a really great symmetry game online which I think you will like. I will come to class 1 to show you it this week.
