This week we learned about writing a newspaper report and wrote one about Tutankhamun being crowned as king. We gave it a Fist of 5: some of us found it tricky!
In maths, we have been learning clockwise and anticlockwise. We know it will help with directions. We have been using: left and right, quarter turn, half turn, full turn, forward and backward.
Our art this week has been making pyramids using clay!
Ramsay said: It was fun because it was messy!
Geo said: I liked how the clay was soft.
Lucy said: I liked how the clay was easy to model.
We knew we had to work carefully so we didn’t handle the clay too much or the heat from our hands would dry it out.
We have been reading text and showing we understand it. Some of us finished the sentences; some of us read the story about ‘Under the bed’ and then answered questions. In our reading groups, we were asking each other questions that recalled parts of the book and explained why things happened.
We enjoyed discussing then making a poster about Energy Balance. In PE we enjoyed playing some team games! We used lots of energy! TEAM is Together Everyone Achieves More!
Hi Primary 3b,
What a busy week you have had. I saw some of your Tutankhamen stories and was very impressed with the content and presentation. Your clay models look really good too. Thanks to everyone who wrote a note to me. I hope you all got your replies.
I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend.
Miss Henderson
