We have been learning about people who help us. Cody and Liam wrote to PC Arnott to ask if he would visit class 1, to tell us more about the role of a Police Officer. We were so excited when he came to visit!
Cody’s favourite part of the visit was when PC Arnott showed us his handcuffs. Liam noticed that PC Arnott is a very tall man and Lewis had fun talking on PC Arnott’s walkie talkie! Lewis said ‘over and out’ when he was finished talking.
We have been learning about the different types of transport that Police Officers use. Here we are making our very own Police station and Police car in class 1.
This week we had a visit from Miss Cameron and baby Cameron. We were so excited! We used gentle hands and quiet voices when baby Cameron was in class 1. We loved looking at baby Cameron’s tiny features. Miss Cameron showed us how to feed the baby and we even got to hold him! Liam counted baby Cameron’s toes. ‘Ten tiny toes!’ said Liam. Cody wrote about the special visit from Miss Cameron. Cody felt great when he was holding the tiny baby.
Hi Class 1,
What a lovely time you have been having in your class. I am so pleased that you enjoyed PC Arnott’s visit and then made your own police cars and police station. You will be able to go for a visit to the police station later on in the year. Miss Cameron’s new baby is very cute. Well done on using quiet voices so that you didn’t frighten him. I got to hold him in the staff room when he visited and he was very tiny.
Keep up the good work.
Miss Henderson
It sounds like you enjoyed PC Arnott’s visit. He is very tall. I look forward to seeing your police station and police car.
Cameron enjoyed his visit too. He liked everyone singing Twinkle Twinkle. I would like to read Cody’s writing about our visit.
