Two weeks’ news!

Two weeks’ news!

Last week our classmate Liam went to Class 3 and we miss him. A new pupil, Callum, joined our class and everybody welcomed him with excitement!

Another change: in our daily programme we have increased our working with adult time.   Mrs Zaloni says we are making a remarkable progress!

Egyptians are still the topic we are focused on. So many things to learn and so many ways to do it! We have watched videos about the pyramids and the famous pharaoh Tutankhamen. We have also experienced an interactive, on line mummification process, listened to ancient Egyptian music and watched ancient Egyptian dance. We also wrote our names in hieroglyphics! What an interesting writing system!

And of course who can forget our art and sensory experiences! Building our own pyramids was just the beginning! Now we are working on our teamwork skills, working in groups and bringing again in life step by step ancient Egypt with River Nile, Sahara desert and many more things to come! Thanks Mrs Henderson for the nice creative ideas!

  1. What a busy couple of weeks class 2. I know you are all enjoying learning about the Egyptians and it sounds like you are learning in some very exciting ways.
    Keep up the good work!
