Check out our Natural Art inspired by the artist Andy Goldsworthy. We collected natural materials such as sticks, flowers and leaves. We did not pick living things as we are learning to look after and care for nature.
We worked in groups to create our own unique designs. We are very proud of what we created.
Our topic in maths over the next few weeks will be Angles. This week we looked for right angles in our Environment. We found right angles all around us, including on our picnic bench, planters, windows and many more!
Then in pairs, using sticks we created our own squares and rectangles and then used cubes to show the right angles on our shapes.
Last week at STEM club we had to create shelters using natural materials we could find in our school Forest garden. We were very creative and enjoyed sharing our designs!

We have been learning about the different layers of the rainforest and created our own models for our homework project . Our challenge was to use only recyclable and reusable items! What creative and innovative designs – well done to everyone! We enjoyed sharing our models with our classmates and with parents at sharing the learning.
We have also been learning about deforestation! We wrote persuasive letters to companies using palm oil to share our opinions and persuade them to stop!
We Created our ‘Party in the jungle’ Artwork for the art gallery which we are all very proud of!

We learned all about life in Dunblane in the past and how people lived.
We were very lucky to have a visit from Pam who used to work in the old Springbank Mill. Pam shared lots of interesting facts and stories with us. We also worked with P2/3 and learned to weave together which was lots of fun!
We learned about famous scots such as Robbie Burns and Charles Rennie Mackintosh who continue to inspire others today through their work in the past. We created our own Charles Rennie Mackintosh inspired artwork which we were very proud of.

In maths our topic has been time and we are learning to show quarter hours on a analogue and digital clock. We are now learning all about fractions!
We have also been writing fact files all about famous scots!

P3 STEM CLUB! Over the past few weeks we have been working on different STEM challenges and experiments.
We are learning lots of skills and enjoying working with others while doing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics!
Last week we had a fantastic time at the Science centre.

We got to investigate and try all of the different science activities and enjoyed a Fun with Forces Christmas Workshop! We had to help santa sort out all of the push and pull toys. Then we had to make a rocket to help Rudolph get back to the North Pole in time for Christmas!
We loved being able to share our learning with others.
