At the beginning of term the children worked collaboratively to establish a class charter. We explored the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child to create our rights friendly classroom. Together we have agreed to:
- Always use kind hands, feet and words.
- Look after things in our classroom.
- Always work hard and try our best.
- Help each other.
- Putting our hands up and listening to each other.
- Tidying up after ourselves.
Together, children worked collaboratively to design and create our class charter. We worked in groups to create paper chains and combined this with a pot of gold underneath with contains a coin signed by each child. Furthermore, we have displayed our rights and promises to one another in our cloud and sun.
Additionally, we have created a digital class charter which coincides with our online safety focus.
