The children have been interested in learning about colours and how they mix together to create a new colour. This lead on to the children singing the Colours of the Rainbow and learning the names of the colour in Makaton sign language. Can you practice this at home with your family?

Recognising the colours and identifying the colour names is an important part of a child’s development. Early identification of colours helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words.
