World Book Day Activities

Hello Everyone!  Today we are celebrating World Book Day!  In school we have been focussing on the works of Julia Donaldson.

Take ten minutes to share stories with your children. The video below is part of World Book Day’s  “Share A Story Corner videos”.  These have familiar characters and easy to follow stories, and tips for reading together. Look at the pictures together, guess what the characters are up to and ask your child what they think will happen next.

Learning at home – Instructions for accessing Teams.

We are using the digital tool Microsoft Teams to share information and for online learning.

Microsoft Teams is an all in one digital learning platform that allows users to chat by messaging and share resources with a group including videos.

Each class has created a Class Team on GLOW so activities, videos, pictures and songs can be shared with you at home. You can also share news and pictures with too.

Here are the instructions for accessing Teams.

Santa Messages

We would like to give our huge thanks to Biggar Young Farmers for tracking down Santa (with his cheeky elves) and filming him making a special message for each of our children.

We want to wish all of our children, families and staff and lovely restful Christmas.  Santa told us that you are all on the nice list and he will be bringing you some special things on Christmas Day!

Please keep an eye on the OneCarluke Facebook page as Santa will also be making a special message to our school at 6:30pm on Christmas Eve

Click on your child’s class below to see your personalised message.
