Learning at home – Instructions for accessing Teams.

We are using the digital tool Microsoft Teams to share information and for online learning.

Microsoft Teams is an all in one digital learning platform that allows users to chat by messaging and share resources with a group including videos.

Each class has created a Class Team on GLOW so activities, videos, pictures and songs can be shared with you at home. You can also share news and pictures with too.

Here are the instructions for accessing Teams.

Santa Messages

We would like to give our huge thanks to Biggar Young Farmers for tracking down Santa (with his cheeky elves) and filming him making a special message for each of our children.

We want to wish all of our children, families and staff and lovely restful Christmas.  Santa told us that you are all on the nice list and he will be bringing you some special things on Christmas Day!

Please keep an eye on the OneCarluke Facebook page as Santa will also be making a special message to our school at 6:30pm on Christmas Eve

Click on your child’s class below to see your personalised message.

Language Creates Reality

Language Creates Reality is a creative collaboration that focuses on the importance of language when talking about Down Syndrome.

Created and designed by Rebecca Hulbert and design studio Bear and Pear, these series of cards offer a fresh new way of sharing and using appropriate language around Down Syndrome.

This project has been supported by the Down’s Syndrome Association who have included it in their Tell It Right information pack. Read the blog here.

Rebecca is also the host of ‘Arthur’s Club’ a YouTube channel that uses creative storytelling and Makaton to entertain while encouraging communication skills: www.youtube.com/arthursclub.
