At Tinto P.S we have a weekly assembly with the P1-7 pupils. As you will see from the calendar these focus on the UNICEF Rights of the Child and link to world events, world religions, famous people and our school values.
Our assemblies also have an achievement focus each week and the House Captains award the House Certificates. Pupils are also awarded “Star of the Week” for each class. If a pupil has achieved an award/ experienced a success at external activities (such as gymnastics, swimming, Cubs etc) these are also celebrated. Ms Stark also uses the assemblies to discuss expectations regarding learning and behaviour and upcoming events.
